When you think of top notch gadgets, the chances are that some of them have, sadly, only ever existed on the silver screen. From James Bond’s kit to Star Wars’ gadgetry, from robots to time machines, films have produced a steady stream of the most gorgeous technological eye-candy you could possibly dream up. Ask anyone their favourite Bond gizmo and you are likely to get a different answer. Likewise, pick out R2D2 from Star Wars and someone will ask why C3PO was excluded. At some point you just have to pick out great gadgets and let them speak for themselves.

Apple iOS 5 and iPhone 5 are the two major products expected to arrive this year, and both will decide the future of the brand in the coming years. As excitement heightens with the anticipated release of iOS 5, rumors about the most undesirable update that it will bring is becoming louder each day: iOS 5 will no longer support jailbreak.
Apple will be putting jailbreak and the jailbreak community to an end with the release of iOS 5. This is something that is impossible to happen or something that iDevice fans and users are hoping is not true.
The tech market is awash with great products that are designed to help people make use of technology more efficiently and conveniently. Companies keep trying to outdo each other by churning out more and more unique products.
Some of these products have become consumer favorites with a good example being the iPad. It was launched and aimed at the tech savvy individual that wants to work more easily and with more style. In 2011, here are some products to keep your eyeballs on to see if the magic can happen again.

The blogosphere was buzzing yesterday with rumors that an iPad 3 might be on the way in September. That's right, the iPad 2 hasn't officially been announced (though it is reported to be in production), and already people are talking about an iPad 3.
Apple’s second-generation tablet is barely out of its pristinely white box but talk of the iPad 3 is already brewing which will no doubt already have tongues wagging on what the Cupertino company has in store for the next Apple tablet.
With all the iPad 3 news; some Apple fans were questioning whether or not they should hold off on their purchase of the ipad 2, and wait for the iPad 3. Especially after an unnamed Apple insider stated that the iPad 3 was going to be worth the wait. The iPad 3 is being claimed as a revolution rather than an evolution like the iPad 2; since a lot of features were not released due to complications behind the scenes.
It's the technological circle of life: company makes tech, consumer buys tech, company makes tech obsolete. In this never-ending trash and upgrade cycle we now find ourselves trapped in, we generate tons of techno-waste every year that usually winds up in a landfill. It's time to change that trend. Your old gadgets are more useful than you'd think.
In this slideshow ahead, you'll find some ideas for recycling tech products by harnessing their overlooked strengths (or "inner beauty," if you like). When you're done looking through them, I'd love to hear more creative uses for old tech in the comments. Enjoy.
For sure you have a «usual cell phone», that can call, play music from a flash drive, and be a card reader when you attach it to the Big Brother. Or you had it. Or your boy friend/girlfriend/parents/children/grandparents/etc have it. Haven’t you think about using it in a more geek way, rather than just a meaning of communication? I don’t mean firmware modification and getting a console access to the phone, no — it’s much more trite and interesting at the same time.
Currently the news dominating the UK is of course the royal wedding between William and Kate, which kicks off on Friday the 29th of April in London, and will no doubt be covered across the globe. There's nothing like celebrity frenzy, especially a long-in-the-planning one like the Royal Wedding, to bring out the best and worst of mobile application development.
With this being such a significant wedding it is very appropriate that there are now some great Royal Wedding apps within the App Store. Here's a sampling of the best mobile apps for Apple iPhones, iPads and other iOS devices being touted as indispensable for keeping track of and connected with The Wedding — the royal nuptials for Prince William and Catherine Middleton on Friday, April 29, at Westminster Abbey in London.
